Huka Lodge has three types of accommodation of which you can make your selection: 18 Junior Lodge Suites, one four-bedroom Owner’s Cottage and the two-bedroom Alan Pye Cottage. The Junior Lodge Suites boast beautiful French doors opening to the waters of the Waikato, while the Owner’s and Alan Pye Cottages each have private infinity pools, kitchens, living rooms and dens. There are also six single Escort rooms that can be used for accompanying staff or children.
The main lodge is a haven in which guests can gather over a shared meal or swap stories over a glass of wine. The grounds play host to an assortment of experiences, and you can find yourself playing croquet, swimming in the pool, mountain biking on the trails or relaxing with a massage on a whim. Whether you want to adventure or indulge, relax or relay the day’s stories, a stay at Huka Lodge is always exceptional.
Junior Lodge Suite
Harmonious and deliberately simple in approach, the Junior Lodge Suites are situated along the deep green waters of the Waikato River. French doors open to a wooden terrace facing the water, while inside a king bed is dressed in the finest monogrammed bed linen and topped with feather pillows. To the back of the suite, a spacious dressing room allows for you to make yourself at home, and through that is the ensuite bathroom with twin basins, heated floors, thirsty towels and the most decadent deep bath.
Owner’s Cottage
In the Owner’s Cottage, four spacious ensuited guest rooms are anchored by a fully-equipped kitchen, den and central living room and dining room that look out to a private pool. Each bedroom has a super-size king bed, comfortable chairs for lounging and a fireplace, with two facing the river and two looking out to the beautiful courtyard garden. In the courtyard, a magnificent outdoor fireplace is tucked within the environs, surrounded by lush foliage and manicured gardens that ensure guests their privacy.
Alan Pye Cottage
Built on manicured lawns alongside the Waikato River, the Alan Pye Cottage boasts a cozy and intimate atmosphere with eclectic décor. Two large and stylishly-appointed guest suites have their own fireplace, walk-in dressing room and ensuite bath with twin basins, deep soaking tubs and separate showers. A magnificent open plan living room with fireplace has space for dining and relaxing, with large doors on the side opening to the river, infinity-style pool and spa tub. The kitchen is fully equipped for use throughout your stay, while a study, outdoor pavilion and private courtyard garden complete the home.
