Inspired by simpler times and a more bohemian style of life, The Boatshed relishes its beachfront location on the island of Waiheke.
With five luxury suites and two beach bungalows, you can enjoy endless views over the open ocean and plenty of cozy spaces to sit back and relax.
Read a book in your suite or indulge in some seafood alfresco – should you feel inclined for adventure, the walking trails will delight. The suites at the Boatshed each offer a unique and different experience, though all have been inspired by the Bach: a small weekend or beach cottage that’s become engrained in Kiwi life.
Fitted with more comforts than you would normally find in such an accommodation, a stay at The Boatshed is the perfect mix of casual and elegant, relaxed and refined.
THE BOATSHED LOCATION
Located on the shores of Waiheke Island in the Hauraki Gulf, The Boatshed can be found overlooking Little Oneroa Beach. You can arrive by boat, plane or helicopter, with the foremost option being a mere 40 minutes from Auckland, or a helicopter being just 10.
Arriving to the island, feel worlds away as relaxation envelops you and a slower pace soothes your soul. Feel the sand between your toes and take a dip in the sparkling sea – then explore the coastal walk way system through vineyard restaurants, markets and artist studios.
At The Boatshed, guests have their choice of four cozy accommodation types: the three Boatsheds with their nostalgic beach hut feel, the three-story Lighthouse with its romantic tower, the Bridge with its lofty views over the bay, and the two Bungalows that take a nod towards the traditional kiwi ‘Bach.’
