With a total land mass of 4,000 acres, each villa at Annandale offers the utmost seclusion and privacy. Guests have four options to choose from: The homestead, a five-bedroom home which has been lovingly restored from the 1880s and updated with a swimming pool, tennis courts and gym; Scrubby Bay, which accommodates up to 14 and includes a chef’s kitchen, open fire deck and swimming pool; Seascape, a romantic and modern two-person villa set above a picturesque private bay; and Shepherd’s Cottage, which also accommodates two in a cozy, historic house with outdoor bath and gardens.
No matter where you lay your head, a stay at Annandale goes far beyond the grounds. Choose to partake in a cooking class or have a private chef prepare your meal, take to the water to encounter wildlife and harvest seafood on a guided kayak tour or simply choose a spa treatment to enjoy within your villa. Acclaimed for its farm-to-table cuisine and abundance of fresh, local produce, meals can also be enjoyed as picnics on the grounds.
Seascape
For the ultimate in romantic escapism, Seascape’s dramatic architecture and theatrical location is the perfect choice. Sleeping just two guests, it features an open-plan bedroom, lounge and kitchen, set on different levels to split the space, surrounded by a glass wall at the front. Step out onto your balcony with outdoor seating, outdoor firepit and Jacuzzi. Your ensuite bathroom is huge with double shower and bathtub facing the craggy cliffs at the furthest side of the bay.
Shepherd's Cottage
Remote and lovingly crafted, the historic one-bedroom Shepherd’s Cottage has been restored and extended to offer two guests a timeless experience. Whilst not directly on the ocean, you have views across the fields of the sea, and often watch the shepherds bringing their sheep past in the distance. There's a cozy lounge with open fireplace, a porch where you can while away the hours with a coffee or glass of wine in hand, and an outdoor bathtub.
Annandale Homestead
Set amid extensive gardens on the eastern shore of Pigeon Bay, the restored homestead offers a luxurious and relaxing experience for up to 12 guests, with ancillary accommodation for up to four at The Stables. Ideal for groups of friends or large families, it's the base for many of the activities on the farm or coastal activities such as kayaking and marine life tours. There are tennis courts, large lawns, a swimming pool and gym for your use, too.
Scrubby Bay
In its own sweeping bay surrounded by hills of tussock lies this luxurious cedar-clad beach house, which emanates a wonderful Scandinavian style. Three oceanfront master suites each have their own ensuite, while a bunkroom for 8 children allows plenty of space for everyone. There's a hot tub to the front, overlooking the bay, and a heated swimming pool to the back.
