Silky Oaks Lodge has six beautifully-appointed room types to choose from: the Daintree, Garden, Deluxe and River Treehouses and the Lodge and Billabong Suites. Each option boasts its own veranda, private ensuite bathroom and luxurious king-size bed, and each acts as your cozy cocoon set within the leafy folds of the rainforest.
Included in your stay at Silky Oaks Lodge are a selection of activities, including morning yoga, a guided rainforest walk, access to kayaks, mountain bikes, the fitness center and tennis court. Listen to the singsong of tropical birds while you enjoy breakfast in the open air, explore the trails or walk along the river, then return to your cozy hammock to get lost in a good book. A stay at Silky Oaks Lodge is all about taking the time to slow down and enjoy the environment that you’re in, and here, that’s exactly what you’ll want to do.
Billabong Suite
The ultimate in rainforest luxury, the spacious 807 square-foot Billabong Suites overlook the Mossman River and have a separate lounge and bedroom. A king bed is accompanied by slippers, robes and turndown service, while the lounge has a day bed, table setting and sofa to sit back and relax. A private ensuite bathroom features a separate shower and spa bath, while the extra-large veranda places you within the surrounding Daintree Rainforest.
Lodge Suite
The Lodge Suite is a newly refurbished and enlarged Deluxe Treehouse, with an open plan layout spanning 947 square feet. An oversize veranda overlooks the rainforest and holds a king-size day bed for you to lie out under the stars. Inside, another king bed is accompanied by two single beds, as well as an ensuite with a large spa to unwind at the end of the day. This suite is perfect for a honeymoon retreat or for a family of two adults and two children.
River Treehouse
Overlooking the beautiful Mossman River, the River Treehouses have private spa baths and fantastic rainforest views. A king bed sits center stage, facing out to the veranda where a hammock tempts you to settle in for an afternoon nap. Just inside lays a day bed for lounging or reading a book, and to one end of the suite lies a bathroom with separate shower and tub. At 505 square feet, the River Treehouses are best suited to two people.
Deluxe Treehouse
Set within the rainforest and lush tropical gardens, the Deluxe Treehouse has a private veranda and double hammock made for two. The ideal retreat for couples seeking privacy and romance, it holds a king size bed; private ensuite with separate shower and a large corner spa bath; amenities like slippers, robes and turndown service; and an iPod music system for you to mix your favorite songs with the sounds of the rainforest. Slightly larger than the other treehouses, the Deluxe Treehouse is 527 square feet.
Garden Treehouse
Close to the main lodge but still boasting those magnificent rainforest views, the Garden Treehouses are the most popular choice of accommodation at Silky Oaks Lodge. The same size as the River Treehouse at 505 square feet, each holds a king bed, private ensuite with separate shower and spa bath, amenities like slippers, a robe and turndown service plus a veranda with waiting hammock.
Daintree Treehouse
The smallest treehouse at Silky Oaks Lodge, the 473-square foot Daintree Treehouse offers a cozy space to relax and unwind. Furnished with a king-size bed, day bed and armchair in the main lounge area and with a hammock outside on the veranda, you’ll have ample options of where to sit with your morning coffee or tea. Your private ensuite bathroom boasts a spacious walk-in rain shower, though this room does not have a tub.
