Day 1 Arrive Auckland, New Zealand – Napier
Welcome to New Zealand! Upon arrival at Auckland Airport you’ll be met by a representative and transferred to the Domestic Airport for your flight (not included) to Napier.
Day 2 Napier
Get ready to tee off, because today is your first round of golf in New Zealand! Designed by legendary golf architect Tom Doak, the Cape Kidnappers par 71 golf course measures 7,119 yards (6,510 meters) and will challenge golfers of all skill levels. Completed in 2004, this spectacular New Zealand golf course has been hailed as one of the great modern marvels in golf and is currently ranked the 33rd best golf course in the world by Golf Magazine. The well-equipped Pro Shop is located at the Clubhouse and the women’s and men’s locker rooms are fully appointed with lockers and showers. Should you wish to have a small packed lunch between the nines, an order can be placed with the Pro Shop before teeing off. Additionally, a full lunch menu is available in the Clubhouse dining room.
Day 3 Napier – Taupo
Today, transfer from Napier to Taupo with your local Driver/Guide. Taupo is in the upland heart of the North Island, and Wairakei Golf & Sanctuary is where you’ll play your next round of golf. Officially opened in 1970, the course lies on 180 hectares of natural rolling countryside and was developed by Commander John Harris, Michael Wolveridge and Peter Thomson to meet the rigorous design standards required for world class championship competition. At the day’s end, check into the Hilton Taupo to relax and unwind with sweeping vistas of Lake Taupo or Onekeneke Thermal Valley.
Day 4 Taupo
Transfers are included today as you’re swept off to play a round at The Kinloch Club. Golf at this Jack Nicklaus-designed course is often compared to the classic link courses in Scotland and Ireland. However, instead of traditional sea views, this world-class championship Par 72 course is positioned between panoramic views of Lake Taupo, New Zealand’s largest freshwater lake, and the natural beauty of rugged rural farmland. Ranked as New Zealand’s number one golf course in 2014 by a select team of New Zealand Golf Professionals, The Kinloch Club is also rated 76th of the top 100 golf courses outside of America by Golf Digest Magazine.
Day 5 Taupo – Queenstown
Today fly (not included) to Queenstown, New Zealand’s adventure capital. Catering to all interests, it enjoys a magnificent setting amid steep mountain ranges and pockets of native bush with the jagged peaks of the Remarkables Range rising from the lake. The town is compact enough to travel around on foot and features a great range of restaurants, bars and boutique stores for you to explore.
Day 6 Milford Sound
This morning begins with a fixed-wing scenic plane flight to Milford Sound. Upon arrival you’ll board an extended and leisurely cruise through the sound, journeying the full length of Milford to the Tasman Sea whilst a nature guide provides a detailed commentary. You’ll have plenty of time to explore points of interest and view the stunning scenery, which includes waterfalls, rainforest, the towering peaks and wildlife. Afterwards, transfer to your aircraft for the return flight to Queenstown and take in expansive views of golden tussocked high country, the upper reaches of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Southern Alps. Taxi transfers are provided to accommodation upon arrival at Queenstown airport.
Day 7 Queenstown
Millbrook Resort is one of the most scenic golf courses in the world, and today you get to play it. A simply unforgettable Queenstown golfing experience originally designed by Sir Bob Charles and renovated by Greg Turner, it offers three fabulous nine hole courses each named after the local prominent landmarks – The Remarkables, The Arrow and the Coronet Nine.
Day 8 Queenstown
Your last day of golf in Queenstown brings you to Jack’s Point Golf Course. Designed with minimal excavation, the 18 hole par 72 championship course measures 6388 metres (6906 yards) and is built on the most spectacular of Jack's Point terrain, weaving through tussock grasslands, dramatic rock outcrops, steep bluffs and swathes of native bush to the edge of Lake Wakatipu. The Clubhouse, situated on the edge of Lake Tewa, is the centre of the Jack's Point community. The essential amenities of the golf shop, restaurant, bar and deli are all contained within a simple yet elegant building. Transfers are included today.
Day 9 Queenstown
This evening transfer into central Queenstown for dinner at the Botswana Butchery Restaurant. Located in Queenstown’s historic precinct with spectacular lake views and signature roaring log fires inside and out, Botswana Butchery is one of Queenstown’s most stylish restaurants. It offers a sumptuous menu full of flavour and is consistently rated as one of the resort town’s most popular restaurants, since opening in August 2008.
Day 10 Depart Queenstown
Today your trip comes to a close as you transfer to the airport (included) and connect with your departing flight out of Queenstown.
