Keeping with the theme meals celebrate the region, with traditional delicacies like barramundi, crocodile and buffalo dotting the menu.
A breathtaking escape in untamed surrounds, Wildman Wilderness Lodge can be reached by road or air. Approximately 170 kilometers from Darwin via the Arnhem Highway, there’s a scheduled transfer every Monday, Wednesday and Friday or private transfers can be arranged. Should you choose to fly in, the lodge has a small landing strip that is suitable for small aircraft and helicopters.
Habitats
Our indulgent, romantic ‘Habitats’ offer unexpected comfort in this wilderness location. Surrounded by breathtaking nature, these well-appointed, beautifully designed free-standing cabins offer a soothing luxury. In air-conditioned comfort, with luxury bedding, premium furnishings and en suite bathrooms, the Habitats are the perfect respite after a day of adventure in the wilderness.
Habitats can accommodate a maximum of 2 people, double or twin share.
Safari Tents
An alternative option for those who seek a bit more adventure (needless to say, in style), this truly luxe ‘camping’ experience is a premium offering. Each fan-cooled tent is surprisingly spacious at 50m² and comes complete with en suite bathroom. Natural colours and materials from the region have been utilised and reflect the surrounding environment, the entire experience providing a grounded closeness to the wilderness with all the romance of the ultimate hideaway.
Safari tents are designed to cater for families of 4 or 5 people (a maximum of 4 adults in each). The 4 person tent includes a double, a single and a trundle bed. The 5 person tent includes a double, bunk and trundle bed.

Mary River Rockhole Cruise
This is an excellent opportunity to observe crocodiles, wetland birds and fantastic views across the vast Mary River floodplain. Glide down this vast river system which can triple in size during the wet season; venture into sheltered billabongs and sit in silence and observe nature at its best.
Full Day Kakadu Tour
Departing early from the Lodge, travel along the Arnhem Highway to the world famous Kakadu National Park. Stop at the South Alligator River and then continue past lush floodplains and billabongs reaching Ubirr Rock - one of the truly breathtaking sites of this World Heritage National Park. Ubirr Rock is famous for its rock art sites. There are three main galleries of art accessible to visitors. From the top there is a panoramic view of the surrounding floodplains and escarpments. Enjoy a tasty picnic lunch where you will enjoy stunning views over the wetlands and an incredible variety of birdlife. The return journey to Wildman late in the afternoon.
Home Billabong Cruise
Enjoy a one hour cruise on Home Billabong as the sun warms up and nature comes to life.
You are likely to glide past prehistoric looking crocodiles, an amazing array of birdlife and an abundance of wildflowers. It is an ever changing living ecosystem which is both beautiful and fascinating. Every cruise is different and offers a unique experience.
Litchfield Day Tour
This full day tour into the park explores all the highlights. You will see a landscape that has been formed by water and time with abounding waterfalls, monsoon rainforest, bush walking tracks, swimming holes and amazing Magnetic and Cathedral Termite Mounds. Included is morning tea, a picnic lunch and drinks.
Leichhardt Point Sundowners
Leichhardt Point provides an amazing eco-system teeming with bird life where the wetlands rise and recede with the seasons.
Depart the Lodge 1hr before sunset and journey through forests and savannahs to Leichhardt Point where we stop for refreshments as we watch the amazing sunsets over the wetlands. Depending on the time of the year, the water table may be high or dry. A vast seasonal variety of flora and fauna results. Enjoy champagne, wine, beer and soft drink accompanied with a selection of cheeses and biscuits.
