True to its name, the Suncoast of mainland Fiji (Viti Levu) is home to blue skies, abundant sunshine and balmy, tropical days.
Covering the northern coast of the island, the landscape is woven with sugarcane fields, rural villages and small market towns – though you can just as easily escape to Koroyanitu National Heritage Park or one of 50 different dive sites for hiking, diving or snorkeling. For dining, most resorts offer their own range of restaurants, though you can also visit Lautoka, Fiji’s second-largest city and the heart of the sugar cane industry.
Here you’ll find a range of cafes and bistros serving up varying cuisines, alongside a picturesque esplanade and a backdrop of Mt Koroyanitu.
If you wish to seek out something special, Vuda Point Marina is great for sunset cocktails.
