Whether you prefer to people watch on Sydney’s famous Bondi beach or retreat to an island of your own in the Whitsundays, Australia’s best beaches are within your reach, and many of them have so much more to offer than simply lounging on the sand. Take for example Kangaroo Island in the south. 

Here, wildlife viewing is an absolute must, with kangaroos, sea lions, koalas and wallabies all ready and waiting to be spotted. 

In Freycinet National Park you’ll find Wineglass Bay, and its impressive stretch of sugary sand that’s great for snorkeling, swimming and kayaking. 

Catch a pool of dolphins swimming by the strip of Noosa Main Beach, or ride a camel along Cable Beach in Broome.
